ABOVE-GROUND PORCELAIN STONEWARE POOL WITH LUXURY FINISHES
  • MODEL City
  • TYPE Above-ground or semi-inground designer swimming pool
  • DESIGNER Sportium - ProgettoCMR

CITY is born from a philosophy of intertwining geometries, contrasting volumes, and intersecting lines. This architectural concept transforms outdoor spaces, both urban and non-urban, and is an above-ground (and semi-in-ground) pool designed by Sportium – ProgettoCMR in collaboration with Granitech, an Iris Ceramica Group brand.

CITY is characterized by a contemporary aesthetic and clean, geometric lines, aligning with modern residential trends. It features a sophisticated use of materials, including porcelain stoneware and metal, to integrate seamlessly into outdoor spaces with a balanced, visually lightweight design.

City is a versatile product, suited for sports, relaxation, wellness, and physical rehabilitation, all while maintaining the exclusive character and craftsmanship typical of Piscine Laghetto.

Cladding

City is designed to be clad with the innovative X-Slab ceramic surfaces developed by Granitech. X-Slab porcelain stoneware slabs feature a reinforced surface that offers 5 to 10 times the natural strength of ceramic. The product is reinforced by coupling it with a natural mineral laminate. This process significantly increases the ceramic surface’s resistance and durability while preserving its hygienic properties.

LED Spotlight

Every City pool comes standard with one or two white LED spotlights (depending on the chosen size) from the Piscine Laghetto line. Positioned on the pool liner, these lights create a stunning visual effect, both day and night.
These spotlights combine highly performing light output, with reduced electrical consumption (less than 8 W) and great durability over time.
Each spotlight is powered by 12V and is supplied complete with the relevant transformer to be positioned at a distance of 3.5 m from the pool.

Ladder

The CITY pool features a dedicated ladder made entirely of AISI316 stainless steel (Ø 43 mm tubing), with stainless steel steps and non-slip plastic inserts.
For added safety, a plexiglass safety kit is available for this version, preventing young children from accessing the pool.

Structure

The City’s structure was specifically designed by Piscine Laghetto’s technical department. It is built with powder-coated Magnelis® steel, which utilizes ZMSV-TEC technology.
This special treatment allows for greater resistance to corrosion phenomena.
In general, the quality of the materials used guarantees construction reliability and greater durability over time.
Both the truss base and the bolts are made of stainless steel.

Pool liner

City pool liners are made from 1000 g/sqm coated Trevira fabric, an exclusive Piscine Laghetto product.
The liner, a highly tensile-resistant membrane, is subsequently treated anti-UV thanks to the use of special additives that exponentially limit the ageing of the material.
The City liner is tested to withstand the most extreme tensile tests (430 kg every 5 cm).
Piscine Laghetto’s vast experience in the production and processing of pool liners it’s a synonym of absolute quality and reliability.
Over 50 years of research, development and close collaboration with carefully selected fabric suppliers have led to the formulation of sheets that are structurally and chemically specific for the swimming pool sector.
The welding machines, the most important part of the production department, are specifically designed and manufactured to meet the company’s technological production requirements.
Each liner is therefore specifically welded to get the maximum resistance to various stresses, giving Piscine Laghetto products the quality and efficiency that distinguish and differentiate them from the rest of the market.

Filtering system

As part of the Fluidra Group (a leading global supplier of swimming pool equipment), Piscine Laghetto leverages its parent company’s experience to equip its pools with filtration and purification systems. These systems offer unparalleled construction quality and market-leading performance.
Aware of the importance of water quality, City filtration systems are expertly sized to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene.

Skimmer

The Piscine Laghetto skimmer is fixed to the pool wall, it has a floating head and works by skimming over the water, thus guaranteeing a high degree of constant cleanliness over time.
Equipped with a pre-filter basket, its 360-degree draught allows the best possible cleaning of the pool with superior performance to wall-mounted skimmers.
The excursion of the floating head in height allows great flexibility in filling the pool, preventing it from drawing air and blocking the filtration system pump.
It is also equipped with a series of anti-trapping and anti-sucking devices for maximum safety of all bathers.

Countercurrent swimming system (Optional)

The counter current kit has been specifically created for Piscine Laghetto. It is easy to install and allows swimming even in pool with small dimensions.
The countercurrent swimming kit consists of two 1560W pumps (max. flow rate 36 m3/h, head 12.8 m), four suction fittings with protection grid, two nozzles with specific flanges for installation on City liners, fittings and piping to place the pump at a distance of 3,5 m from the pool.
A pneumatic switch is included in the kit, as well as a specific switchboard for pump control and timing.

7-Jet Hydromassage Kit (Optional)

Developed to meet the growing demand for personal wellness, this optional hydromassage kit includes a 900W pump (max flow 18m³/h, 13.5m head), two suction ports with protective grilles, and seven hydromassage jets with specific flanges for mounting on the City liner. Necessary fittings and piping are included, allowing the pump to be positioned 3.5m from the pool as required by safety regulations.
The kit includes a pneumatic push-button for activation and a dedicated electrical panel for controlling and timing the pump.

7-jet whirlpool kit

Isothermal summer pool cover (Optional)

This insulated cover reduces heat exchange between day and night, better preserving the temperature the pool gains during the day.
It can be left to float on the water during the day, as its material is designed to allow solar rays to pass through.
This cover comes with a border.

City - Cleaning Tips

Routine cleaning of X-Slab porcelain stoneware slabs. For optimal results, we recommend using a powerful detergent diluted in cold or lukewarm water. For large surfaces, we recommend using low-foaming cleaners. Always dilute detergents according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For textured surfaces or stubborn dirt, we recommend using a rough or microfiber cloth.

When using detergents, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions. As this is a broad subject with many variables, the above advice is for informational purposes only and should not be considered binding.

Clean stainless steel parts with tap water. For small oxidation spots, use a non-abrasive metal cleaner or a 10–15% diluted nitric acid solution. In either case, rinse the parts with fresh water and wipe them completely dry using a soft cotton cloth.

The dirt that forms on the pool liner’s waterline can be cleaned with a liquid degreaser. This product is specifically formulated for swimming pools and will not alter the water’s chemical levels, such as chlorine and pH.

City - Water Treatment Tips

Whenever possible, fill the pool with clean water from the municipal mains or from a well that is equipped with a filter.

Chlorinating products should always be added to the pool through the skimmer’s floating head while the pump is running. This prevents concentrated product from directly contacting the pool’s walls or bottom.

For hygienic and comfortable swimming, the ideal water characteristics are: chlorine levels greater than 1 ppm, and a pH value between 7.2 and 7.4.

Regular water analysis helps you understand the water’s condition and identify any issues in time. This allows you to restore ideal values with appropriate treatments, keeping the water healthy.

To prevent damage, be sure to remove any undissolved chlorine residue from the filters and skimmers before shutting down the filtration system for an extended duration.

The ideal time for winterizing the pool is when the water temperature drops below 20°C. Likewise, the pool should be reopened before the water temperature exceeds 20°C.
